God has seen fit to call from our midst another beloved companion, mother and sister. Mrs. Margaret GALEY wife of WB Galey, d. at her home, SW of Crawfordsville on April 3. She was a great sufferer but bore her suffering like a hero without a murmur. Aunt Margaret, as she was almost universally known was a pillar in the Church and had a most beautiful Christian experience, an abiding faith that sustained her through her sickness and intense suffering. She lived well; she died well. This should console and sustain her husband and son whom she loved so well. She was not afraid to go. She raised her eyes, clasped her hands and said farewell, said tell her friends good bye for her; she was going home to Jesus. Aunt Margaret has gone to receive her reward. Whatever be the beliefs adrift in this transient world the departure of every devout Christian from this life, as did this Christian companion and mother and friend, touches the noblest chords of the soul and makes for hope a brilliant star. She was a loving companion and a good mother, a kind friend and a faithful member of the Baptist Church. Truly it can be said of her as of one of old, "She hath done what she could." She leaves a husband, one son, one grandson, one brother and four sisters to mourn her death, besides a host of friends and other relatives. She will be missed by all and her seat will be vacant at the table and the fireside. The funeral services were conducted at the home by SK Fuson of Rockville on Thurs, April 5 at 1:30 o'clock, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Presbyterian Cemetery on the Terre Haute road So. of the home. Pallbearers were George and Levi Coons; Bert Johnson; Larkin Branch; Theodore Coons and Begger Groves. - kbz
